Summary Would you be able to swim among sharks? After watching Steven Spielberg’s 1975 film, you would surely be paralyzed.

This film changed the narrative around the species. In fact, in less than 14 years, the great white shark population decreased by 79% due to the fear unfounded by the film.

The guarantee of Human, Sexual and Reproductive Rights is also affected by the power of stories and narratives. From them, global imaginaries have been strengthened, ranging from the alleged relationship between the LGBT+ population and HIV, to the criminalization of migrants, to the association between promiscuity and abortion.

Discover how collective and organized action can generate new narratives and change those that are harmful to the informed, free, safe and pleasurable exercise of sexuality.

The roundtable hosted by Profamilia will feature panelists with expertise in the following areas: narratives in communication, digital narratives, alternative media and activism in Human, Sexual and Reproductive Rights.
